My Diploma in Counselling using Transactional Analysis is accredited by COSCA, Scotland’s professional body for counselling and psychotherapy.
Transactional Analysis (TA) offers a framework to understand ourselves better and to look at changes we might want to make; it has an underlying hopeful philosophy that we can make decisions and have choices.
I approach my work with curiosity, kindness and respect. The therapeutic relationship is the most significant factor in counselling; at our first meeting, we will decide whether we want to continue to work together and agree an initial timescale. Appointments will usually be weekly and at the same time.
Perhaps you would like to change some unhelpful behaviour patterns, or are struggling with relationship dynamics, or you want to understand why you feel and think as you do. Maybe you feel stuck, stressed, sad or lost, or you need some space to untangle things and to feel accepted for the complex human being that you are. Often we are driven by an inner critic and are exhausted by its demands.
You are the expert on your own experience. I work with clients both cognitively and creatively and am interested in whatever a client brings.
I am a member of the professional body UKATA (UK Association for Transactional Analysis) and adhere to its code of ethics and supervision requirements.
Please contact me by email and I can answer any further queries or make arrangements to meet.
