Bibliotherapy book suggestions2021-06-24T16:52:04+01:00

can we help you find a helpful book?

We have books that can throw light on many mental health and wellbeing questions, whether you want something for yourself or to help someone else.

You can get a quick list of suggestions by email, or book a consultation with a bookshop advisor for an in-depth discussion.

consultations

You can arrange a supportive, confidential consultation with one of our bookshop advisors so we can really understand what you’re looking for in detail.

how it works

  • booking: you book a date using our online calendar
  • preparation: we send you a questionnaire so we can start thinking about potential suggestions for you
  • consultation: we have a phone or video call (your choice) lasting about 45 minutes to talk in detail about what it is you are looking for, what you have read already, and what reading can do for you
  • follow-up: within 2-3 days of the call, we send you a list of book suggestions, and for the following 2 weeks we are available by email for any follow-up questions

There is no pressure to buy and we do not chase you up after sending our suggestions (but you can get back in touch with us).
