if you feel uneasy about how, when or why you drink alcohol, or what happens when you do, but cutting down feels difficult and causes you to want to drink more.
A quick summary
This book came from Rosamund Dean undertaking to cut down her own drinking. She found herself with what she calls a ‘lower-case problem’ with alcohol – not a crisis, but certainly preoccupying and not healthy. Her tone is easy and humorous, but her research was extensive and she covers a great deal of useful information, advice and insight, structured as a progression from the problem, to the incentive, to the plan. She deals with the problems and pitfalls of moderation – in a way a more complex position than abstinence – and the plan sets the reader up to set themselves free.
