The decision to start therapy is a courageous one, and if you are thinking about therapy you already recognise the need for someone to talk to about the difficulties you are experiencing.  Therapy can be challenging,  but it can be transformative, helping you make sense of your life, and better understand your relationship with yourself and others.

At the core of my practice is the belief that you know what is best for you to bring about the change and growth you are looking for in your life.  My aim is to work with you in a responsive, collaborative and compassionate way and by providing a space that is empathetic, open and respectful, help you explore the difficulties you are experiencing to navigate a way through your distress.

I work with adults who are experiencing a broad range of difficulties, including relationship issues, anxiety, depression, abuse, anger, loss and grief, identity, ill-health, neurodiversity, work-related stress, addiction and trauma.

I completed my training in Person Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of Strathclyde. My training also includes psychodynamic and gestalt therapeutic approaches. I am also a qualified clinicial supervisor. I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and abide by their code of ethics as part of my commitment to best practice.  I participate in continued professional development and training, and I also attended regular clinical supervision.

My interests include meditation, creative writing, swimming and travelling.  These interests support and inform my work as a therapist

I believe cost should not be a barrier to therapy and so I offer a limited number of concessionary rate places for people living on means-tested benefits or an income below the Real Living Wage.

I do not have any concessionary places available at the moment.

Please get in touch directly if you are interested in working with me.
