So…….you’ve been thinking that it’s time to make a change; time to sort things out; time to ask for help.
Now it’s time to take that first step.
Seeking help is a brave move and can feel quite daunting. I have established my practice to support you in this and can offer a safe and supportive listening space for you to work with the issues you bring.
Having graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling, I am a fully qualified practitioner and a member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I became interested in this work during a 6 year association with Cruse Bereavement Care Scotland as a volunteer counsellor. Since 2017, I have practised in the Health Agency in Wester Hailes and still volunteer there. I have experience of, and enjoy working with, a broad range of issues.
My work is based in the person-centred approach and I work primarily with the topics that are ‘bubbling’ for my clients when they enter our therapeutic space. However, I am also strongly influenced by the psychodynamic ideas that I explored extensively during my training.
I look forward to hearing from you, to supporting those first steps and hopefully those beyond.
